STRAIGHT  PAINTING:
My straight painting - is executed in my concise style to reach
a lyrical tension that I like to pursue. Simplifying form down to its
quintessential essence.
A branch of abstract expression using flat fields of colour.

JesperSorenAndersen art, - the period after trousers, ... complex map with more nuance,
flavour that blends ideas of minimal brevity with quintessential essence, which requires
a high degree of effort to fill in the details."

I am led by inspiration, revelation and recognise the difficulty of achieving this
in today's image-centric, Post-Truth world. I'm using a limited repertoire of
recurring ideas or subject matter. I harvest Yellow, Crimson, Ultramarine Blue
and Phthalo Green, I use my intuition with my reductionist style of vibrant colour
exploring the geometric shapes of trees, hills, valleys and plains as I seek to define
the essential character of the beautiful region in which some of us are priveleged to
live. I consider myself an peculiar landscape painter, who is constantly examining
the armature, exoskeleton and the lay of the internal landscape within a fusion of
personal thoughts, Word images of regional maps and internal influences.

Jasper is a male's given name. The name means "spotted or speckled stone" and is derived from Greek iaspis, (feminine noun) It is a variation of the Persian Kaspar. According to the Biblical tradition Casper ( from the Persian "Gaspar" meaning ' treasurer or treasure bringer ' ) is the name of one of the “ Three Kings “, who presented Christ gifts. Casper gave frankincense. The name Gaspar or Caspar, along with the names of the other two legendary magi, appeared for the first time in two medieval Latin texts and dates from the 9th century AD. The spell containing the name of Jaspar is a French and English transcription of the Latin word Caspar. Its Biblical reference led to its adoption as an English name in the 17th Century.
